Thanks for saying Congratulations to our family

We are the Cyr family, we have four children ages 6 months to 8 years old. Our youngest Eric was born with Down syndrome. Through the love and support of the Greater Moncton Down Syndrome Society we have a new level of understanding and acceptance of Down syndrome. When Eric was born we knew very few things about this diagnosis and the things we did know were very outdated stereotypes. We were under a big misconception that our son would never live a fulfilling life and that ours just ended.
When we were in the hospital, the Greater Moncton Down Syndrome Society provided us with their Information packet and a great book "Babies with Down syndrome", a new parents guide. We also received a sincere congratulations card celebrating little Erics birth. A simple gesture that meant the world to us. My husband read and re-read this book, we were also offered a hospital visit and given the contact information for the society. It was my husband who called the society, they were wonderful and set up a visit with another family who came to our home. The society visited the hospital on another occasion when Eric was sick and cuddled him. They have remained in our lives giving us love, support, resources, and information, but most of all Hope. There are no words to express how thankful our family is and to have a local Down syndrome support group in the Greater Moncton area has been a blessing.
