Volunteer
The Greater Moncton Down Syndrome Society Inc. appreciates the many volunteers that give their time and talents in so many ways for the society. From the Board of Directors, Fundraising/Sub Committees, Community agencies, families and members that support this organization.

United Way/Centraide
GMDSS is also a recipient of a United Way/Centraide Response Funding Grant which has allowed GMDSS the opportunity to expand the scope of it’s ongoing community outreach efforts. With the United Way/Centraide funding GMDSS has increased the amount of information packets available thereby keeping up with the growing need in our community. As well GMDSS has been able to use a portion of the funding to provide translated material to families in both official languages. Through the United Way several local area businesses have been able to offer their employees the opportunity to donate to GMDSS with a payroll deduction option. Memorial gift giving is also available to friends and family members.

Charitable Giving
The GMDSS Inc. is a registered non-profit organization that relies on charitable donations to enable the society to operate and continue to provide services and support to families in the Greater Moncton region. Tax receipts are issued for any donation of $10.00 or more.

Memorial Giving
GMDSS has its own memorial giving cards in place at most funeral homes. You have to request these cards specifically for the GMDSS. If there are none in place you can request the funeral homes generic card and specify the GMDSS as your charity of choice. Not all funeral homes are set up to collect the donation from you, therefore you can leave the card for the family and mail in the donation and a tax receipt will be issued from the GMDSS.
